IMDEA (Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados) es una red de centros de investigación internacionales cuyo promotor es la Comunidad de Madrid y cuyos objetivos son fomentar las actividades de I+D+I y su transferencia a la sociedad; desarrollar ciencia y tecnología punteras propias e internacionalmente competitivas; alcanzar una masa crítica de investigadores y equipamientos científicos de calidad internacional; fomentar la colaboración interdisciplinar; atraer empresas y crear un entorno competitivo basado en la generación de conocimiento para contribuir al bienestar de Madrid y de España.

What is IMDEA Software?
IMDEA which in Spanish stands for Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados (Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in English) is a network of international research centres promoted by the Madrid Regional Government with the goals of creating an environment suitable for advanced R&D that is internationally very attractive for the most talented scientist; doing edge science and developing cutting-edge technology that is useful and competitive internationally; creating a critical mass of outstanding researchers and world class scientific equipment that facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration; and involving industry and the private sector through out the whole R&D process.
